Jordan's Bird

Memories of writing a short story about a little chickadee with my nephew inspired me to paint this bird. I started with a gesture drawing on Ampersand Pastelbord, which I toned with a bright orange Terry Ludwig pastel. I used a limited palette from a cityscape I was painting. This was a very quick painting where I focused on capturing my memories in each mark.
