Ascension

This piece is the second version of another pastel that I did, again inspired by an aquarium visit and by my hopes for a friend's completeness. This time, I made a mono type on a sheet of Arches paper, using soy based ink, a brayer, a plastic plate, wiping cloths, and an etching press. After the print dried, I applied layers of pastel.
