Midnight Moon

I did this painting on dark Uart paper and used Mungyo soft pastels along with Art Spectrum (love their stuff). I was strolling late at night along the sea and was captivated by the colors of the sea and rocks. The moon was shining in a slightly cloudy sky, reflected in the rippled surface of the dark waters. With the moon, there is always more light, even in the darker areas. The lights from the town across the bay were a counterpoint to the moonlight.
