Pachenko Pass

The soft brown hills of California dotted with Live Oak Trees always look like waves, undulating as far as the eye can see.
Using soft pastels, such as Great American, Schminke and Sennelier, I try to capture the essence of the hills with a touch of vibrancy when in reality they tend to appear dried out, waiting for the next fire to roll on through.
