Soft Pastel over soft pastel & alcohol under painting. This beach is on Grand Manan Island in the Bay of Fundy. The sand is more beautiful than any I have ever seen, a mix of shimmering silver, golds, pewter and other colours. My goal was to capture the rugged rocks and shimmering sand as the highest tide in the world, starts to ebb and flow out. The light was particularly beautiful that day. I hope you enjoy viewing it as much as I loved capturing it.
