Fishing Boats St. Martin's NB.

Soft Pastel painting with Pastel & alcohol underpainting. This is a local fishing village about 20 mins from my home. I long for the water every day and plein air paint there often. I was enchanted by the reflections of the boats and the purples on the snow and hills behind. This was my effort to capture the scene with feeling and abandon. I am new at pastels, having used watercolour and oil. From the moment I picked up pastels I was hooked. It is the most freeing of mediums I have ever used. I am late to the game, having only started painting at all at the age of 50. I humbly submit this for your review. Thank you so much.
