Enrapture

Medium: Pastel
Inspired by the New Zealand native bird the "Tui". These beautiful and boisterous endemics are usually first in line to enjoy the nectar of the native Phormium Tenax (NZ Flax) flowers.
It is a delight that both the Tui and Flax are common throughout NZ. I worked from both photographs and memories. My aim was to capture the lively interaction and drama with vivid contrasting colours.
