Red Sky at Night

I caught this incredible fire sky sunset in a photograph, but was intimidated to try to paint it. One day I just said, "do it!" I used a piece of Pastel Premier paper that I had practiced on previously, removed the loose pastel and applied alcohol to make a wet underpainting. Most of the pastels used were Terry Ludwig, Schmincke, and Sennelier. I tried to paint more loosely and just let the pastels do the work.
