This is the 2nd painting for the "One Circle, Many Hearts" Project depicting an Ojibwe woman from the Fond Du Lac Reservation area in MN, who is Deer Clan. She brings lessons of gentle nurturing love to her people. The faces for most of the paintings involved in this project are obscured or left blank. This is deliberate as there is a narrative piece which accompanies each painting, which will hopefully help the viewer see herself or other women they know and love in the faces and stories of the women they are learning about. This also makes these women timeless. They represent our ancestors, women today, and the women of the future.
