Summer's Last Bouquet

Pastels on Pastel Premier White Fine. I was drawn to the bright Autumn sun highlighting the colorful flowers in crockery on stone wall as the cooler weather was beginning to take hold. Underpainting with dark blue for background, amber for medium greens and pink for the flowerpot. Rubbed in with insulation pipe. The stones were a first serious effort and challenge. The flowers had a medium dark green initial layer for depth and 'grew' from there. The brightness of the top layers of flowers and leaves defined the warmth of the sun.
