Headdress

I usually like to paint from life, but haven't since last spring when the virus forced me to come up with new options. Painting portraits from photos only, doesn't usually excite me, but this woman who posed live for a group of artist friends on line, spoke to me. Her magnificent floral headdress and costume inspired me to work quickly and get as much information down as I could, and I finished later with a photo... with her still fresh in mind. I felt I was almost painting from life!
