Intense with Calm

This pastel evolved through my observations of the Midwest weather, particularly the storms of Spring and Summer. I used Sennelier pastels on the smooth side of black Canson paper applying the pastels and using my fingers to blend them. The intense Senneliers against the black evoke the emotions I feel when I experience these storms.
