Hand Picked

This piece was inspired by a little girl in a park playing. Out of all the children there she stood out in her polka dot dress and gold sparkly shoes. I sketched the girl on the board, blocked in the basic colors and did a light wash using Denatured Alcohol for the background. I then layered pastels to add detail, shadows and highlights to bring the painting to completion.
