Hydrangea & Celadon was created with Hydrangeas from my garden and a celadon pot that is one of my favorite props. Initially I did an underpainting to block in the painting on a piece of Pastel Premier mounted on Gatorboard, then I started layering a variety of soft pastels to build the form. Final details and highlights were added with Derwent pastel pencils and Sennelier pastels.
