Corps de Ballet

There is nothing like a fall tree with brilliant reds and oranges and yellows but lately I've been more intrigued by the branches of early to late fall. I was driving through the west in an RV, visiting the National Parks and making my way from Boston to California for the winter when I saw this strand of bare trees in Wisconsin. They reminded me of ballet dancers and I knew immediately I had to paint them. "Corps de Ballet" seemed like the perfect title.
