This pastel was done from my own photo reference of my first experience of an early October snowfall at Lolo Vistor’s Center, Idaho, where I was volunteering with the US Forest Service. It was early morning, and sunlight had just flooded this 5,200 foot peak illuminating soft, fresh snow and fall foliage.
