Charcoal and pastel washed in on UART 320 followed by various soft pastels (Sennelier, Terry Ludwig, Unison, Richeson, Schmincke) and hard pastels (Nu-Pastel and Holbein) then accented with compressed charcoal. I enjoyed letting the underpainting show through and around the pastel application. A bouquet of sunflowers and eucalyptus inspired this painting.
