Cardinal

I have been wanting to paint a cardinal for quite awhile. They are common both places I live - in the mountains of North Carolina and in Florida. I was trying to figure out an interesting way to depict a cardinal that wouldn't look like a greeting card! I used sanded pastel paper with soft pastels.
