Best Loved Basics Chickadee

This painting was an exercise I made to prove that you can use just 14 pastels to make a completed painting, just going by values, and not necessarily color. Although I feel the colors worked out quite well for the subject, I wanted to prove you do not need a lot of pastels to create an acceptable piece of work.
