Pastel with alcohol underpainting with soft pastels. This was from that transition time, a very small stream near my home. It struck me by how the sun was shining on the scene that it looked like that between time, hints of spring color amongst the greys of winter. The sunlight on the water was a sparkle of excitement for the joy that comes with life springing anew.
