The Last Days of Summer on the Grand

Pastel and alcohol underpainting followed by various soft pastels. This is one of my favorite places to walk my dogs nearby. The sun was coming up fast on this last day of summer and gentle flow of the river that day and the warmth of the sun, shining through the long grass was a timeless moment.
