Moonlight on the Bay

This scene is of Grand Traverse Bay in Northern Michigan. The moon reflecting on the water was so special that I was inclined to capture the moment with a painting. I used pastel premier paper with 400 grit. I began the painting with a dry underpainting, then built up the layers with a variety of pastels including Great American and Terry Ludwig. I used Sennelier for the soft, luminecient finishing touches!
