Pastel painting on UArt 400 sanded paper. I spotted this flower in the Community Center's little garden, where we stood in a very long line to vote. It was nice to take my mind away for a moment from all that was at stake and focus on that beautiful little plant, how nice it was to be able to see it, and how I would preserve that moment.
