Rain Break

Since hummingbirds must feed continually to stay alive, this fellow can only spare a quick moment to enjoy the rain. The reference for this came from a documentary film and a split-second snapshot I took from the film. The background is done with a pastel wash and panpastels; foreground is soft pastel and some pastel pencil.
